This cycling trail takes you through a few scenic locales including a disused quarry, sites where some of Tampines’ former kampongs were once located, as well as Lorong Halus, a former landfi ll turned wetland. I expected anytime to be stopped by the police for illegal gathering but I think the police are too busy with election matters to be concerned with mere runners. The road off the Tampines Expressway was not only a landfill, it was also a place to dispose the unsavoury collection of the nation's night soil.
